MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub - Coeur d'Alene: A Dining Experience Worth Remembering

Well, you know what they say.."If life gives you lemons, mix them in your drink!" This is a review of Redemption! Some time ago, we went to celebrate my daughter's birthday (surprise) at MKRP. Let's just say things didn't go as planned. BUT... it was ALL made RIGHT! 1st issue was that the party room was doubled booked. So, when we were sat in the corner of the bar, we were a bit shocked. BUT, management took responsibility and absolutely made it"right." We had a wonderful waiter! He was kind, patient, understanding, and playful with our group. He seemed to be more than happy to give us some appetizers on the house to make up for the party room mix-up. So... when we left, unfortunately, some of the birthday gifts had been left behind. My daughter reached out to the restaurant a day or 2 later. She spoke to the manager, who informed her that he had her gifts!! Yay! 2nd issue. A few days later, my daughter went by to pick up her gifts, only to be told , " They were here. But we don't know where they are now. And the manager isn't here today. " Let's fast fwd through my daughter calling back to speak to the manager, me (mom), stopping by, and speaking with the manager personally... To (I assume an area manager) personally reaching out to my daughter, I believe through social media, stating that he wanted to "make it right." In the end, not only did He "make it right," but the manager also sent her a gift certificate with an additional apology for the missing gifts. I have always believed that respect is earned. With that said, MKRP has earned my respect and patronage with the way they stood up, took responsibility, and, in the end, handled both situations! My hats off, in thanks to you!

me and my hubby decided to stop in on a busy Friday and although it was very busy, we were waited on fast and got delicious food with a very kind environment. We couldn’t be any more grateful and our food was delicious. Would recommend 100 times over again and we will be back.

The food is good although some dishes should probably be rethought (Buffalo Mac and Cheese). Beet salad, Burgers and the other pasta dishes were great. Service is friendly and prompt. They were able to sit our family of 6 immediately. Casual atmosphere.

The atmosphere and service are always top notch.. but last night I got the Baja tacos.. and I was very disappointed.. the pineapple salsa.. was literally just pineapple tidbits and maybe half an ounce of fish My server was amazing and brought me some extra fish when she came back to check on us and I told her my issue. She made things right. So kudos to her.. but she shouldn’t have had to do that in the first place. For 17 dollars.. I at least expected to get a bite of fish with every bite.

First time visiting this place. We ordered an appetizer (wings), pizza and tacos. The food came out and in a timely manner. It was a nice afternoon so we were able to comfortably enjoy the patio. It is up against the 95 so if you have someone in your group that is a little hearing impaired it might not be the best option but for us we found it easy to have a conversation!

Interesting experience. We've been to various locations and I've always ordered the same thing (I don't like onions) slammer with fries and have NEVER been charged $4 for the substitute, makes no sense subtract onion straws and add fries??????? No setups on tables and had to ask, answer I'll try to find them??? Fork,knife and napkins how strange. Ended up getting pizza pretty good as we're the street tacos, don't know when we will go back, eating out is getting harder, food prices sky high and staff that acts as if they can't be bothered.

A family friendly atmosphere with a good variety of food. We will definitely be back. Good burgers, smokey pizza, and smoked old fashioned. The bottle they served it in was a hoot.
